Jeremy Smith and Fancy Soxs 4/9, won many local, district and state shows including the Louisiana State Fair Grand Champion Heifer and Grand Champion Louisiana Bred Heifer. That win sent them to the International Livestock Show in Louisville, Kentucky where they won first place in their age group. CHF also sponsored Michael Opperman from Natchitoches, La with a bull calf and Scott Holt, Houston National Livestock winner from Carthage, Texas, who purchased a heifer from us for future competitions. CHF sponsored Nikki Martin, North DeSoto 4-H, with two heifers, one red and the other Louisiana Blackened. (See photos). The red cow shown previously by Nikki with heifer calf and a young red bull were purchased by Gauff Master Farms of Zacharey, Louisiana, with plans for their daughter Taylor and older brother Ashton (not shown, no photo) , to be showing at Southern University and other 4 H events in the Baton Rouge area. Both Ashton and Taylor Gauff were successful first place winners in Baton Rouge parish shows showing their calves purchased from Country Hill Farm.
